The worlds tallest building does not reside in New York, Malaysia or Tokyo. Construction on a building 40% bigger than anything ever built by man before has been completed in the construction capital Dubai.

Located in the United Arab Eremites, perhaps best known for being the new oil capital of the world, the Burj Dubai now towers over 800 meters into the Dubai skyline. Construction in Dubai has been radical over the past 20 years, including building islands in the sea from scratch. This is a building of truly epic proportions, not becoming the world tallest building, but doing it by a massive margin. Here is the view from the top.

Despite how tempting it looks, base jumping from the top would be very stupid considering the Burj Dubai’s almost pyramid design which makes it ultra stable and less vulnerable to winds and the weather. The City is currently hosting the Dubai air show. Flights to Dubai are sure to see this building for miles around.
