Italy Sees Champion Change
Posted on May 29th, 2009 1 commentItaly played host to the champions league final this week, a game that surprised many.
I was lucky enough to make get tickets to Italy’s capitol stadium in Rome, and despite a shortage of car hire in Italy I booked early and got my ride. Despite expecting Man U to comfortably maintain the champions title, Barcelona outclassed the former champions, and dominated the game. Messi’s header to go 2 up was a work of art, and surely cemented his place as world player of the year. The expectation on United was huge, and its kind of nice to see that they are not as dominant of world football as we all thought.
I look forward the the premier league next season, which following Man United’s disappointment is sure to be a classic.
