World Leaders Arrive in London
Posted on April 1st, 2009 No commentsThe G20 summit in London is building up to be one of the most important meetings in years.
The Talks are accompanied by protests by the British public, the first major stand since the protest against the Iraq war. Thousands of Brits have entered the capital to make their voices heard on several different subjects. They have been mostly peaceful so far, with the only real damage done to some windows at RBS, as protesters express outrage on the recent financial crisis. Other more peaceful protests are being held over climate change, and anti war movements. The G20 looks hopeful to invoke some new policies, with the US and Russia hopefully agreeing to limit Nuclear warheads, and the French looking to properly regulate a revised banking system, as well as new targets on climate change.
